He studied classical guitar at the Bruckner-Conservatory Linz/Austria and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Karl Scheit.
From 1989 to 1998 he toured and recorded with the Ensemble Modern Frankfurt.
In 2005 and 2008 he taught as an adjunct professor for composition at the Webster University Vienna.
